The Universal Slowly Fading Away.

Post by jmoyet »

since last year around June iv noticed less and less players are playing. and now this is the worse state iv see this game in. planets went from 12 active world to 4 or 5 active worlds. and for months its been 5 to 10 players online. 2 years ago it was 20 to 36 players online.

my question is.... WHAT HAPPEN TO THIS GAME!?

very true, though we are trying to keep it alive, it's light is fading out.

Today I saw only 3 active worlds, and even worse only 4 players online. Let's just hope it's the time of year, or TU won't have much of a future.

If there is any single factor that has the greatest influence on player activity, I would say that it's Mit's presence (or lack there of). When he's around and updating the game, the community is compelled to play by the hope that the game may soon become far more complete and exciting, but without him, we are rather stagnate. Players can sense this and aren't willing to put up with the limitations of the game that might take years to overcome (if ever).

I'm sure if there were actual graphs of player activity versus update activity, it would show a clear link between the two.

TU needs Mit. :(

Since June,Idk what ya'll are talking about!Maybe for the last 2-3 weeks it's been a little slow, but a little while ago there where a ton of newbs hanging around trading everyday, not to mention folks trying to coax others out of the Fed Zones for Space battles almost all day long for a while!Methinks folks may be back at work/school and trying to pay off some X-mas debt.I know I am!

Nobody kills noobs lately, it brings no benefit, all contraire actually.

But a noob protect is a good idea. Also I demand a dynamic and interctive step by step SCREEN GUIDE for new players, many other games for example have this kind of guide saying "click on this to.............." Press this to.........." Buy this at......." "Shoot with......"

Sometimes a whole bunch of text isn't very attracting but an interective screen step by step guide will be very helpful.

Also, perhaps a warning message for noobs who join or start their own faction, say:
"WARNING , you have a sorry ship, you will be blaster meat for more advanced players, CONTINUE? (yes / no)

mmm, maybe make the game Linux Ubuntu compatible 8) ...and we would get a lot of players.
I guess that would be a lot of work for MIT...

Iv used linux Ubuntu and Fedora before. you need a windows emulator like Wine or some other windows emulator program to play games. Iv never really got it working right since i only used linux for about 2 weeks.
