Zoric changes / additions

Post by zaroba »

did a bunch of changes today, some of these changes aren't done yet, i'm posting this early so i don't forget some stuff i've already done. (this post will be edited several times until the end of the week)
  • slowed down weapon production. buildings now make 10 per day instead of 100. the buildings still use the same materials to make the 10 as they used to make the 100, so the cost has 10x'd.
  • changed the tent capacity from 5 to 100. don't know why i had it so small originally.
  • renamed the tent building to house
  • added a building called a Mansion Permit Shop, it makes a usable item that you need to use to get the skill needed to build a mansion, once you build the mansion, the skill will vanish again.
  • added 2 mansions, they are the same as regular houses, except they can hold up to 65000 of 16 items, auto heal, and are more then twice as strong as the last wall. testing shows it to need dozens of nuclear rockets to be blown up.
  • fixed the vehicle factories so they produce the correct vehicles. however this means that the costs to make all the vehicles has also changed.
  • changed vehicles 9 to vehicle 14, since v9 is needed for ultrakricket. if anybody needs there v9 changed to v14, just ask.
  • changed vehicles 10 to vehicle 15, since v10 is needed for ultrakricket. if anybody needs there v10 changed to v15, just ask.
  • added compasses to the navigation shop
  • removed the wildlife spawn zone, which was a remnant of last zoric. so wildlife will be visible everywhere now. they are still killable, they give an item called 'rotting sheep corpse' which has no use yet.
  • changed vehicle parts to require rubber instead of chemicals, so rubber now has a use.
  • Disabled collisions on the navigation shop
  • added a 'fun zone' area to the east of centersville.
  • the other main towns now have a school and export/import
  • changed the new player settings so instead of everybody starting in centerville, new players will now start at one of the 5 main towns. this should help ease the congestion in centerville
  • Grandview Speedway is now open located to the east of Centerville. when you join the race you will be teleported to the track.
  • added hornball to the fun zone. when you join the minigame you will be teleported to the field.
  • added a tractor that must be bought in order to play hornball. it only costs 1d and is for sale at the field. this had to be done because vehicles with weaps don't work on hornball.
  • added ultra kricket to the fun zone. when you join the minigame you will be teleported to the field.
  • added a bar to the fun zone for the bar mini games and lottery
(still in progress):
  • added bongo squares to the funzone
  • added a few script minigames/quests
[/list]

Added some new buildings to zoric:

Since fighting isn't too big yet, I've added a few new buildings to help make it easier for others to get weapons. These buildings are an explosives mine, an explosives fac, a weapon parts fac, and a weapon fac.

They work the same as the regular ones, except the weapons fac only makes 3 weapons (one for cars, one for trucks, and one for tanks). All 4 of these buildings can be built anywhere on the map, they do not need to be in the towns.

these buildings each cost 10k wood to be built and only have 1% armor. The normal weapon facs also have 1% armor now, so they are very easily destroyed. Now, there is one other thing that sets these special weapon buildings apart from the normal ones. and thats that they are somewhat...disguised. They do not look like normal weapon facs so it will be harder for certain people to find them and blow them up.

but, i'm in a good mood, so i will tell you what they look like.
they look like sheep, exactly like sheep. they wonder around, they eat the grass, they look around. the building models act exactly like wildlife sheep.

So if anybody wants to build one of these facs, its now very easy to do so without it being blown up by a few people who want to have the only weapons. You just need to save up the wood or buy it from the export and build it. Its best to build them out away from the towns, and to not name them. If built on flat land, they will also look and act exactly like the regular sheep. Also best to not build several of them right near each other. You can use the world map to see where you've built them all.

if any of the few weapon hogs want to blow these facs up...well...thats easy too.
if the builders followed the above advice, then there facs will be somewhere in the open countryside. scattered somewhere among the 500 sheep that your client is forced to display :P
