Error message when starting game directly to zion

Post by Gawain »

Software:Universal Client
Version Number:0.51.0
________________________________________________________________________
Location
while the game is loading zion, from the main start screen
________________________________________________________________________
Description:
When I start the client, I click on "Continue game" with "reconnect ..." selected. Often, but not always, while zion is loading, I get an error message saying: "Unknown map packet received, code - 1c"

Then I have an option to see or ignore further error messages. The planet seems to stop loading at that point, until I respond to the message.

This does not appear to be any big deal, because I cannot see that this causes me any problems, other than the delay in getting onto the planet. I just want to let you know about it, since I couldn't find the error phrase in any other reports.

Steps to Replicate:
I have not tried to replicate this by landing from space, for example.

Yeah I'm getting this alot, and not only on Zion but on any world when downloading textures. I might try reinstalling the game.

I thought it was me when i moved my clients over to the right folders but obviously not... i get it every time i try to land on zion, but it isn't a big deal. Probably something updated in the galaxy which needs a new client version to work with.

I have not seen this error for a while. It has been at least two weeks, maybe three...

all the times i've seen that error, it was due to using a client version that was older then the server version.
