Pubsquish

Post by Tom »

hey magic, mit, hedge, i see you lot are able to add comments and such to the bugs reported. i would also like to be able to add comments, if i have something to add to the bug, like something new about it, like new way to relicate or something like that.
i was just wondering if u could implement this as a feature for it, as currently i would have to post here and tell you, rather than adding a comment to the already posted bug

well... the whole bugsquish/staff site is under re-development atm and will become more a portal for the game... bug commenting is based on user authoirty and at this time the modules to control who can reply to bugs isnt written. However this will be addressed in the new Bugsquish.

So for the time being sit tight and as soon asthe features are installed we will let you know.

BTW user comnmenting will be the same as reporting a new bug i.e it will not be shown and will require publishing from a member of the staff this is so that bugs which have a potential impact on gameplay (i.e cheating, positive effect on player wealth, etc.. etc..) are not made viewable so that other players can exploit the bug.

near/future depends on how long it takes me and hedge to do the coding/layout

I was remarking more at the time it takes him to do it, not his artsy fartsy coding style :P

Personally though, I go for the nice messy code that no-one except myself can understand - or I go overkill on comments. See Invaders to prove this :)

hedge has done most of the arty stuff over the weekend... now i am doing a lot of the coding bits during this week... as a lot of the code is already in exsistence from the great work that hedge did on the staff site i cant see that this is going to be a very long process
