Converting to .3DS from Gmax?

How would one go about exporting a gmax model to .3DS format? I know it is possible, but I can't for the life of me figure out how.

I've heard that you need a plug-in. I have the same problem, but have not taken the time to find the plug-in. Would be nice if someone could post us a direct link to this mystery plug-in.

Okay, so far haven't found a plugin, but I found a plugin that exports to .m3d, which the shareware Quick3D Geometry can export to .3DS. Will only work for 30 days, but it works for now.
