Enable Private Messaging?

Post by Ephialtes »

If you decided to enable private messaging, we would have all those "Tom" and "Matthew" And "Mit" posts... Also if i need to talk to someone it would be easy to just type a pm instead of having to post a new topic saying "Hey Hedgehog"

Why has private messaging been disabled by the way?

Its simple really, most people on these forums read the forums more often than they check up on their email. Anyone who e-mails me has a high chance of never being heard.

Can we stick to the subject? Basically, if you have to email people, some people dont supply theirs or choose to have it hidden... If you want to talk to someone then you have to post on the forums and say something like "Hey <insert name here>!" and its really annoying and seeing as the people on this forum are such daily visitors (i think) then they would see they have messages at the top or wherever and it would be easy. Whereas if you are lucky enough to have their email it takes ages for them to reply and some people hardly check their email at all. Why was it turned off at all? Seems stupid to me...

for something which is not a *essential part of the website it is also something which uses bandwidth... bandwith = money.

as far as i see it unless mit decides to turn the pm'g on and as he hasnt replied here its obvioulsy not top priority :) you have two choices either email the person (if its not enabled its probably because they dont want people to email them) or leave mail for them in the game.
