nice vid. The only thing i have to say was the game interface got in the way, which made a lot of clutter on the screen. It's not ur fault though. I had a few hours so I experimented with model making...There is an export plugin to export as md3 files....those u can import in Lithunwrap a freewareprogramm, which can be used to export to .3ds files which the atm converter can read.....
Short answer, no. It's not simple. I'm not sure where you got that "quoted" method from, but that's the kind of circus you need to join in order to get files out of Gmax, thanks to the nice people at Discrete making the format totally proprietary :) I think I stated elsewhere on the forum that Gmax has native support for .3ds. Well, it does, but on reflection you can't export in that format... only import. Hmmph.fhko wrote:...is there any simple way to get models from gmax into convertible format...
