lag spikes

yah every time I get on I end up getting several lag spikes every couple minutes while im in space(ive never been on a world before so im not sure about worlds yet) I just wanted to figure out is this the game or is this my comp
I also lowered graphics to the worst possible
my specs are
512 ram
256 ddr vid card
pentium 3
windows xp

lagspike= a point in time where game freezes than several secondes later catches up with the real time.

If not, try something i found but not sure if it works yet thing...

Task Manager, Processes, Rightclick on theuniversal client and select priority to say, second from top. I'm not sure if it works or not but it may improve the game while keeping the system working, i wouldn't suggest i think it's 'real-time' though because that would probably leave hardly anything left for xp.

I'd only ever tried it with Bittorrent and this.

Yes, changing process priority can make a huge difference - there used to be a game I played which would run slowly under normal priority, but ran at nearly full speed when I set the priority to high.

yeah errm try to turn off ya virus scanners get sothin like zonealarm n put it in game mode, ill send u a coppy if u wnt its v special cos of the version, and are u on wireless cos i had lagg when i first strted
