trying to get some new buildings working on zoric...and they just...wont.
as soon as you scroll to them in the build list, your client will illeagle operation.

the 3 buildings are setup as follows:
building codes: 98, 99, and 100
Building Type: Farm
Building Names: Fish Hatchery - Bread, Fish Hatchery - Biscuits, and Fish Hatchery - crisps
Materials Reqd: 350
Employee Skill Required: Livestock Farmer
Max Num Employees: 1
Tech Level: 2
Max of this type a player can own: 1
Made item 1: Raw Fish Meat (weap 16 renamed)
Makes 25 every 5 days out of 100 Undrinkable Water and 25 Bread/Biscuits/Cripsps (depending on the building) - max of 100 in stock
Sells: Raw Fish Meat - Max 100
Ignores Town Limits turned on.


since the client crashes when you scroll to it in the building list, it would seem liek a model issue, but it isen't. i have set them all to use a model and texture that something else uses and it still happens.

its not the 'ignores town limits thing, i have a different farm type set to ignore town limits and it works fine. (however, i found that having coastel ignore town limits causes this same problem with them)

its not the max a player can own. i was having the problem before setting that, and have other farms with a max per player set.

its not the fact that building code is high. a world can have upto 125 buildings, and i have a building thats #101 and it works fine.



there is nothing wrong with thesefrom what i can see. yet they wont work ingame.
anybody else got any ideas?

i mentioned the same issue to mit this week the small window of time that he as online. I assumed, since my bldg 97-99 i created, it would illegal op the client, that anything past bldg 96 would do this. he said over this weekend (i think is when he said) he would try to get to the bottom of it.

i was using a teleport and a port bldg that would do this

ahh, yep. same thing here.

after a bit of testing, i found that it is only 97, 98, and 99 that do it.
i copied the buildings from 97-99 to 104-106 and they work fine.

I was on Zoric last night, but then I logged out then back in and tried to go on the planet, I got to the planet and all the menus came up, but about 3 seconds after the thing crashed, I kept trying, but nothing different happend. It got the error message saying Program "The Universal" has uncoverd a error and must close. Or something. Then theres 3 option, send report, dont send, and details. Im not sure if the building thing caused this or not. I havnt tried to go there yet today. though.

that should be fixed now.
somebody had built somehting that broke the map last night. i loaded a backup that was made an hour and a half earlier and the world seemed fine (for me and others on at the time). i also removed all the buildings i had added because i think one of them did it.

on top of the probs past bldg 96, i cant seem to get any bldg past taht point to display a model onscreen.

same here.

it used to work by manually putting the names in the namesfile, but that doesen't work either anymore.
