Ok, Now you may have fixed the dark text on the light background but its still black while viewing posts.
Even so not all of the text is fixed, such as the "jump to page" text

the name is just that a name.
i guess you could say its named The Universal since you pretty much have a fully functional universe.
the previouse name of A-Tractor was givin to the game because origionally the only vehicle was a tractor.
the monkeys are because mit (the game owner) has a fetish for monkeys

It's called The Universal because:
a) it's supposed to give players the opportunity to design any kind of game, without needing to know how to program (using all of the world design tools etc)
b) there's a reasonable, if not "universal" amount of stuff to do
c) it's set in space (well, at least one aspect of the game is)
d) we argued about the name so much that (if memory serves) mit just chose it cos we all got bored with the argument. If I recall, no-one liked it much at the time, but we were too tired to argue, then hedge made a logo, and thus the name stuck :)
e) we're obsessed with monkeys (and apes) because they're cool, and we're all monkeys and apes
