I think there shouldnt be any time limits, they are very stupid. Im sorry if im offeding anyone but they are, because I know on most planets that you can just go in your house if it has food in it you wont die, but on like Zion, a one week time limit is stupid. What if you go on vacation? And the rule that you must log in once evry 30 days or your account will be deleted? Thats the worst of them. Im going on a 3 week vacation this summer, and when I get back I will have to start Zion all over again. And say we have to do something and arnt on in 30 days? Its not far that we lose everything just because we didnt log in for a while. I like this game and I do not want to start over. And plus, if this is for server issues, theres only about one thousand users. Who agrees?
**PATITION**
I dont want to see this just not happen like most of the ideas. So if enough people sighn this I hope this will be put into affect.

Time Limits=bad
you could just ask for a freeze on zion.
if the time limit wasen't there, the world would be filled with buildings owned by players that haven't logged in months, the wealth list would have players on it that haven't logged in in over a year, and thered be little space and not many usable buildings.
besides, its settable by the world owner.
so not all worlds will have the same time limit.

just post (or tell a zion op) when you're going on holiday and we'll freeze you while you're away.
the 30 day limit for revisiting on the galaxy is not strict.. usually your galaxy character will stay around on the gal server for 6 months or more. If it gets particularly busy the record might get reused more quickly. (30 days is the 'minimum' time the gal gives you to return before it will recycle your record).
Ideally this system wouldn't be needed, but writing and maintaining a bigger player records database is the sorta thing you pay online games for :].

As to the above, the answer is yes you will die. You have a time limit. It will depend on the planet. If you do not log in you loss every thing.Kona123 wrote:Oh, well okay. I didnt know the 30 limit wasnt really used much.
So what about other planets? Did I get it right? If your house is stocked with food and your in it when you log out you probebly wont die?
Or as it has happen to me the server could go off line for a day and when you log in you are blown to bits.
The best thing you can do is do as Mit says:
"just post (or tell a zion op) when you're going on holiday and we'll freeze you while you're away."
well, the thing with housesis that you can run out of food and die. but besides that, the same issue applies, why have players owning buildings if they don't even play on the world anymore? the buildings just sit and waste space. they eventually collapse due to decay (which would be another timer i guess).
if it wasen't for such timers, you woulden't be able to play on most worlds. zion would be filled with buildings from the 2 years it ran and several thousand players that have played it. and the players owning these buildings would be getting richer and richer even though they don't play the world (and maybe not even the game anymore). how fair would it be if your new and go into zion and have to work to make money when theres players with tens of thousands of sheckles that haven't logged in in over a year that are getting richer without even playing?
once your world gets working, feel free to make a world with no building decay, no hunger or thirst, and no inactivity timer if you want.
same with the space thing.
if you don't play the game anymore, theres no need for you to own anything.

Okay, so tell me if I have this rigt, okay?
So, the 30 day or your account is gone rule is really a like 100 day thing?
And on the day I go on vacation for about three weeks I should stock on a lot of food then put it in my house then log out when being in my house, then I should ask to freeze my Zion account. So If I come back in about 3 weeks, my accounts in space, zion, junkyard and toher planets will still be there?

i can freeze you on zoric and sabrada if you don't want to worry about dying on those worlds
as i understand it, the 30 day thing with the galaxy depends on the inflow of new players. there was a problem a while back where the galaxy coulden't make any nw player records since the file got to big to handle. the bug was fixed and in order to keep the file smaller, mit programmed the galaxy so that when a new player joins, the galaxy server will erase and reuse the account that went the logest without a login (as long as its been more then 30 days) before it creates a new record in the file.
