Planning a prize event for Syv....
On behalf of AIF, I would like to sponsor an event on Syv. A night of a Syv race from start to finish, GPR on Ariya to the winner, and im pretty sure i could get GPR on Imperial in on it as well (any other registered planets willing to throw in on the event is encouraged). Anyone interested, post here and i will see what we can get scheduled for a Syv tourey or some sort of event.

Anyone that would be interested in setting up and playing in a scheduled event for this, post here. I will be popping into Syv from time to time, anyone that hasnt been there before, i recommend checking it out. Its not like any other planet, its more of like a 3d interactive board game =). Games last from 2 - 4 hrs, depending on how fast you can manage through the skill and production chain.
So far we have 10 GPR (5 on Ariya, 5 on Imperial(or shecks worth in GPR on the planets) as prize offerings, plus what Mit offers. Would be a good time

ok everyone take some time to check out syv.. its actually pretty simple. you start as a caveman, trade for skills at the shaman hut, and kick off the chain of buildings, skills, and prodcution to eventually build either a colony escape ship or a nuclear bomb.
The game is easily enough played thru in ~3 hrs solo. I sat and played thru it 3 times in a row on Sunday (with small breaks, of course )
its still kind of ... in the air how this would go down. I would like to have max of 4 at a time per game. If we have only 3 or 4 then we'll just have one game. Beyond that, we'll make it 2 games with the winners of each of the individual games in a 'playoff'.
This will probably take a bit to get organized and all, but im sure it can be pulled off pretty smoothly.. the biggest conflict would be the inter-hemispherical time zoneing that often plagues trying to organize these type of events.
ill scheme up some sort of 'sign up sheet' soon, once i can figure when abouts this will go down.

well theres 4 in, thats enough for one round.. would like to see at least 2.
anymore?
Weekend would prob be best, i haven nothing to do but be here then, myself.
I am in Central Time Zone US (-6GMT) and any time scheduling that i post will most likely be reflected for that time zone.
Ill set a weekend date, and post a rough estimate of 'round time' to start (probably set up for 3 time frames) and those planning to participate, just post which time slot would be best for you.

Syv tourney planned for May.
Ok this is back in my mind again lol
Ive been thinking about ways to orchestrate this.
with time zones so spread out, i was thinking maybe just hold the ladder games during the weekends and use the week for ppl to practice or whatever.
I would like to go by number of wins totalled throught the month, and also use best times also as a factor. As of right now, theres not really an accurate way to track player time per game or how long a game actually lasts, beacuse the game doesnt 'start' when a player or certain number of players are on, it starts when the game resets from the previous one. In order for playtime to be logged, it would have to be actively monitored and recorded.
Is there any way to make Syv where it will actually WIPE players when it is reset, so each time when a player lands their usage starts back at 0? That way when the log is recorded for the win, posting usage time for the player in the record would be sufficient.
Currently on deck as prizes from this tourney are 5 gpr from each imperial and ariya, whatever mit decides to toss in and im sure zar would prob be down to throw some GPR in on it too. perhaps gk can be kind enough as well =)
ive seen some pretty decent sizes of groups in syv on weekends recently. Its really a fun game to play, and can be pretty tense competetively, if anyone hasnt been there yet i do recommend checking it out its really a good time.
