Hey can someone gimme some info on how to make maps/give me some usable "sample maps" and such.

yeah i couldnt find them on tuwr.. what do i go to?

Er, seems pretty clear to me (I updated the link). Read thru the tutorial link too - you don't even need to bother downloading a heightmap if you don't want: you can use the fractal landscape generator, which tends to do much better job of it anyway.
