By The Rivers of Babylon...

Post by sublimestyle514 »

Hey whats up. My names Sublimestyle and some of you might remember me from "A Tractor" which I played a while ago.

I am currently trying to figure out how to upgrade my stardrive so I can acquire an unclaimed planet in the depth of the universe for my world that I have started, "Babylon". I am planning to make Babylon as realistic as possible and have formed most of the building stones to do such a thing. Hey, speaking of stoned  Anyways I have made some farms, production buildings and retail, etc. and I must know how to make an exchange system in the buildings, like those in Zion when you exchange Monkeys at the University..

Any help or comments would be appreciated.

Buy and sell good from space stations, use the trade report. (F4 while in space, or dock with a space station and hit F3.

If you are using the interplanetary shuttle, the starting vessel you will need a cargo ship or a vessel that can carry cargo: http://editthis.info/universalwiki/Inte ... ry_Shuttle

A cargo vessel can be found at various places. Zion Space Station has 10 right now selling for 91.0 CR. I have seen them cheaper elsewhere. I have also seen them for more (like 100 cr)

91 cr spent on a cargo vessel is not too bad, it leaves you with 9 credit to start trading food stuff and water.

The Zion Ariya Run is rather "quick" you can pick up water at Ariya for .6 credit and sell to Zion for .8 credit that is per tonne.

If you have already spent all of your money that you got with the start of the game you can reset your space vessel/economy/character with:

!resetme

That will reset only your galaxy charcter only - none of your planetside characters will be affected.

Some planets are tied into the galaxy system through Kudos I believe there is a planet that sells kudos right now for 2000 shekels. It is easier and faster to trade though.

The next start drive would be an L24 (gives you a distance of 24 parsecs) followed by L40 (a distance of 40 Parsecs).

Hey sublime, nice to see a familiar old name lurking around here again.

There are alternative options should you really not want to go through the space trading bit - starports on planets sell L8 and L24 stardrives for Galactic Prestige, which you can earn on a number of planets by collecting kudos or cash.
Alternatively, get an infimp (also available through starports or by doing a tiny tiny bit of space trading), and just infimp to an existing planet with an unknown in the same system. There should be plenty of those about, just ask around in game if you need help finding one and im sure someone will oblige.

If you're really really stuck, and theres an unregistered and inactive planet occupying a spot you really want, let us know the system number and inactive planet name and one of the staff should be able to clear off the inactive planet for you.

they're on a "Need to know" basis.
(And a "only if you're arsed to look thru the code" basis)
