Race arrows aren't showing up... (Maybe a bug?)

Description:
Not quite sure if I'm missing some sort of graphic/subgame setting but the arrows that guide you to the next checkpoint in a race aren't showing up. This is using racing mode 0, not quite certain what other settings tie into that though which is why I'm hesitant to post this here...

Steps to Replicate:
Start a typical race, watch as arrows don't show up.

arrows are drawn from the code rather than using a model or texture... don't have any info here at the mo to check things but just thought i would rule that one out for you
