was able to do this many times , and with ease.
i went from ciroz (which is passworded) to zion, and the client displayed ciroz' landscape scale and heightmap. launched and relanded and still ahd the problem. closed and reopened and went in to zion without trouble, then went to ciroz, and the height map was diseapearing and reappearing in patches and the landscape scale was zions. closed and reopened again and went from ciroz to zion again and had ciroz landscape scale and heightmap again. closed and reopened and went from zoric to ciroz and had zorics zea height on ciroz and the height map was diseapearing and reappearing in patches.
sometimes when going from a world (like zoric or imperial) to ciroz, thier would be 2 sea levels being displayed, it was possible to be below the upper and above the lower to see the two sea levels.
while on zion with the bugged client, i copied the settings file into my test world to see what was copied over, went into the settings thier and saw all was correct. so, somewhere when traveling to or from a passworded world, the client will retain the landscape and water level of the passworded world and use it in some worlds, and it will retain the water level from the previous world wehn going to a passworded world.

ciroz to zion = bugged (landscape scale and heightmap) then launch and reland = bugged still (landscape scale and heightmap)
zion to ciroz = bugged (2x waterlevel, occasional heightmap disseapearence)
zoric to ciroz = bugged (2x water level)
imperial to ciroz = bugged (2x water level) then to zion = bugged (ciroz landscape scale and map)
ciroz to imperial = fine
ciroz to zoric = fine
ciroz to imperial = fine, then to zion = bugged (landscape scale and heightmap)
ciroz to zion = bugged then to the republic = fine then to zion again = bugged still then to ariya = fine then to zion again = still bugged then to imperial = fine then to zion again = still bugged.

the landscape scale and heightmap on zion were those of ciroz, which i went to before going to imperial. and i had closed and reopened the client before the trip (did before each trip actually) and closing and reopening the lcient and going directly to zion shows no problems, so i don't think its a .imp file problem.
also noticed something else odd about this bug.
i went from ciroz -> zion to bug zion and it worked, i had ciroz heightmap and landscape scale.
then i changed my drawdist to 700, i had zions heightmap but it was intermittent. then i switched back to 300 drawdist (ciroz' limit) and once again had ciroz' heightmap and landscape scale.

i think this is not so much that its passworded as that they both use 'culling mode' 1.. this generates LOD meshes for the landscape, which werent getting reset when you leave the planet. (i.e. its the same bug as the one fooli reported later about zion -> drellis)
