When you have two stacks of items, you can only sell one

Post by VDZ »

Software:Universal Client
Version Number:0.49.8
________________________________________________________________________
Location
Zion (duh :P)
________________________________________________________________________
Description:
If you have two stacks of items (one normal, one cargo), when you try to sell that item, you can only sell the items from one stack.
For example, I have 3000 wood and 16 cargo wood in my inventory.
Whenever I try to sell wood, or even discard it, it always sells/discards the 3000-stack wood, even when I select the 16-stack.
________________________________________________________________________
Steps to Replicate:
1. Buy wood.
2. Make your own wood and take it out of your building.
3. Try to get rid of it until you're so annoyed that you report this bug.

Well that's becouse ''cargo'' is an item you didnt buy from another and the non-cargo item you bough from someone..

What you should do is sell the stack you want to and stock the other wood somewhere.

If your trying to sell cargo wood you have to sell the non-cargo wood first...

there does need to be some way to diferrentiate btwn the 2 (inv from self owned store or bought from another player) because of the no self-stocking rules on some planets, as we all know zion has implimented

Even then, if you have a stack of 199 wood and a stack of 2000, if the stack of 199 is the one that's being used, you can't build anything that costs 200 or more wood, until you discard the 199 (or get more - but if it's your own and you no longer own a tree farm, it gets kind of hard).

Non-player owned items (item you bought from another) should be stocked in a building so that only the ''cargo''(item that is owned by you) is shown, so you can build/sell with the ''cargo'' wood...

Or we should just be able to select the stack we want to use.

yes true, but this is a game that mit programs
he can program it to be better for the players by letting them CHOOSE what pile to select.

its much more convenient, don't you think?
that way you can sell the stuff you unstocked before stocking the stuff you baught.

can you think of a legitimate reason that it shoulden't let you choose what pile?

No, it should be in Bug Reports, as it's a request to fix a bug.

It would be a feature request considering it's something we ''want'' to happen, your logic is all phony up.

no, it would be a bug.
as the game doesen't act on the pile that you select.

on a side note, are just disagreeing with this thread for the hell of it?
what is your reason for being against this topic and against having bug fixed?

and if your gonna say that its not a bug because its something we 'want' to happen, then i guess your 'correct' logic means not a single thing posted in the whole bug catagory is a bug. afterall, every bug that is posted is because somebody 'wants' said posted problem to act in a different way, otherwords they woulden't be reporting the issue.

hmm...guess that means that nothing posted in this forum has ever needed to be implimented or corrected, as they were all feature requests. includeing the time when we 'want'ed players to not get erased on logoff when settings diden't specify for them to be erased on logoff.

right now is a time where this is a problem for me on zion.

thier are 2 working carbon fibre facs on zion. one is mine
i buy carbon fibre from the one fac so i always have plenty to readd to my plane showroom when it produces a heli (it can only hold enough for one heli). i have a carbon fibre fac aswell to increase the supply of carbon fibre on the world. i have plenty in stock that i could sell to matthew showroom. but if i were to unstock it, i'd have two piles, i'd have to sell the baught cf first, and then i'd be left with none for my plane fac, or stuff i unstocked for my plane fac. and you can't stock stuff you diden't buy.
