Description:
this bug is definately and oddity. i "finished" my bdat and had to go back to add a building i had forgotten and i made the building saved it and so forth and the builing did not show up in the list of buildings under tools. so i tried many things mlike making a different type of building, letting a friend do it with their editor, and then i removed the bdat completely. after removing it completely it still acts as though is is the bdat is there.

Click the Reload Buildings.dat button.
The reason it doesn't immediately react is because it loads the buildings.dat, then doesn't need it anymore until next reload - usually the next reboot of the server.

sure you edited the right bdat? as in, the serverside one (in the servers data folder) and not the one your client downloaded?

try closing and opening the server?

this certainly doesnt happen in normal use - ive never witnessed it and havent heard anyone else havin this problem - and i cant think of any code-related reason why it would. Can you check to see if the server's Data\buildings.dat file is read-only?
Other than that, only possible cause i can think of is perhaps that the server is running from a different working directory than the one u think it is.. (a shortcut thing perhaps?).
Might be worth just renaming the server's building.dat file temporarily, then rerunning the editor and server - just to make sure the file you think you're writing to/reading from is the one you think it is.
