Replicated game freezing when using map

Description:
Various players have reported the game crashing or freezing when they use f7 to see the map "under certain conditions" but have been unable to replicate it. I think I can consistently reproduce the bug now irunning Windows XP on the republic. See Steps to replicate.

The bug report form is bugged.

The stuff I typed in the steps to repicate box disappeared. Here it is again.

Client: ver 0.49.6
Platform Windows XP

1) Land on The Republic.
2) Press CTRL to bring up the buildings access menu.
3) Move to a part of the map with no buildings nearby so the menu simply reads "No buildings within range"
4) WITHOUT pressing the escape button first to clear the buildings menu, press F7 to bring up the map.
5) Bingo. Crash. Game frozen.

Couple more details

Couple more details:

The bug does not happen if the vehicle is an aircraft.

Some players need to press the down arrow at step 5 for the crash to occur.

A more spectacullar crash can be caused by:

1) Keep finger on the up arrow.
2) Press ctrl
3) press F7 when menu says "No buildings in range"
4) C++ runtime error pops up. R6025 Pure function call
5) Restart client

Nice work, kahn :) Top quality qa-ing :].
Both situations u described are caused by the same (rather nasty) bug, which has been fixed for the 0.49.7 client. Thanks :]
