The republic connection error

I was try to connect to The Republic server last night and today, and every time I try, it says there is a player limit and boots me off, EVEN when I saw 1 and/or 2 players listed under it!
If someone could help me with this problem, I'd be much obliged.

The player count view in space isn't the most accurate thing in the world...
Server is probably right and all you can do is wait it out.

the republic?, never. it is very rare to see even one player on the republic let alone a hole server full of them. there must be a bug in the game

This sounds like it *might* be an issue with the fact that the republic is running on the linux version of the server - as i've never seen this problem occuring on the windows build. Any thoughts, devi?
