Trading Routes anyone?

Post by neverknown »

hello all!

im looking for some trade routes, the only good one i found
is doing computers from Planitia to Imperial (13cr profit).
so now i have a infmp drive, l24 stardrive and 3700 cr to spend..
im so tired of looking through all those trade reports :(
cant find anything better than this.

sounds like its time for you to explore the great unknown outside the main systems :P

thiers plenty of nice ones that go accross systems that have no named planets.
before the reset, i had one that gave me over 100cr per item that had me making around 10 stardrive hops. needed a full load of uridium for each delivery and would infimp back to near the starting point to buy uridium then stardrive to the starting point.

yep - get yourself that L40 and get out of the known systems - there are some pretty lucrative routes (occasionally well over 100cr per item profit )- some items - such as military - can be taken from the main systems to plantes up to 20 jumps away. Other items (new tech) can be brought back into the main system from far flung planets,
some stuff - science materials for example, aren't available yet, but may well be coming in with the next patch, whenever that is :)

around a quarter to a third of the map is open for travel with a l40
other space stuff - alien encounters and other things have been hinted at by mit on another thread, so going further out there looks like its going to get pretty interesting :)

if you've not got enough for a l40 yet - stick at it, it will come :)

there should be one within a L24 jump of the known systems - try infimping to ATWA and check out the surrounding systems (posibly BECEN). TIP - dont buy cargo for the main systems there - l24 is not big enough to get it back :) but there may be trade opportunities between the reachabale systems there

if there's none there at the moment - they do regenerate on a relatively regular basis - just gotta keep checking - planet shouldbe labelled "transport manufacturing centre" or something similar

sounds like you've got a nice li'l route there, noob.

as for reasonable routes reachable with L24 - try taking your computers from planitia through the wormhole in system M383 - the brown-ish box on the gal map (wormhole is a blue unlabelled marker )
- check the planets within reach once on the other side - organics should make a reasonable trade also (around 10cr per item) - depending where you buy them of course - cant make it too easy

you were right soron.. BECEN is the system which got the lvl40 drive
but its damn expensive >_< 14.000cr..
do you also know how much cargo the gal fighter, cobra, police ship got?
seems ill have to do some major trading...

does anybody know something about that tool
which makes csv files out of trading reports?

thank youu

some odd thing just happened..

i went to ATWA and did some stardrives.. but when i looked at the galaxy map
after the jump.. i was completely somwhere else..
like.. ATWA is somewhere on the upperleft
atfer i jumped.. i was on the bottom center of the map?!
is this a bug?

hm i only see a blue square.. and i cant select it as a destination :/

MY bad - first its a stargate not a wormhole :)

its a bit tricky - highlight it with your mouse and then hit autopilot using f9 if you have it, or use f3 and close map window. If you use mouse again before closing the map window, you wil lose the lock on it (and if you have autopilot it will steer you into the sun instead - but dont worry if this happens, you wont die, just crash out of the game and land in a space station).

you should be able to steer to it - when you get close (about 30secs), use page down to slow down - it can be a bit tricky to hit - its not the most visible thing in the universe :)

as for the tool for importing trade reports into spreadsheets - that was something Device and Magicfinger were looking at building into a dynamic website - dunno how far they've got with it tho

the framework and upload tool is complete just spending some time thinking about a way of handling it that doesnt easily impact on the gal economy negatively.
