you guys remember how i asked for signatures on the boards once a few months back? you'll all see those signatures in the next vers.

the players that submitted them (namely huss, fooli, tom, nigel and myself) are now immortalized in the new pub...go buy a round to see our names carved onto the bar when the next version is out

so now's your second chance to have your name, - or whatever you'd like - island name, pet's name, etc - immortalized into the land of infamy for noobs everywhere! i only post things like this when the opportunity comes around, so it might very well be your last chance for a considerable amount of time.

this time though, it's a competition - use whatever paint program you have at your disposal, and draw a small logo for a fake company (no bigger than 100x100 pixels, please, but it doesn't have to be exactly square).

the logo can be as simple as your name and an industry, like "tom's fuel" or "spider's bottlecaps" in a funky font....if you want to get really creative, try maybe an inside joke-word between you and your friends, or make a cool logo or symbol. send all entries to adam@graphicsdesign.org

the marginally official rules:

1] you can submit as many entries as you like, but if you just reuse your player name over and over, only one logo will be selected. to improve your chances of getting multiple ideas chosen, it's best to mix 'em up a bit.

2] solid background colour please. no funky gradients or images of your dog.

3] any "normal" file format is fine - aka: bmp, jpeg, gif, tiff. don't send me some proprietary kodak file.

4] obviously this is just for fun and cause you want to do it. if your logo(s) are chosen, you simply get the chance to see it in-game. no cash reward will be given, no special treatment, no extra software... you'll just have the graphic displayed in a dev-team world where a lot of newbs will see it, thereby making your name revered and feared

5] i'll be asking for opinions from mit, fooli and zar. there's no favoritism or any of that crap - if we like the logo and think it looks cool we'll use it. and probably reuse it somewhere else in the future, so you'll wind up "winning" multiple times if your graphic is picked.

i'll post when the deadline is approaching, however the sooner you send your entries the better your chances are... i need this stuff yesterday, heh.

heh if i remember my signature took less than 2 seconds and its shinola could i make a better one?

zjis supplies is just this old joke a friend and i had from back in highschool. it's gonna be pretty small anyway

putting a picture on the bar would defeat the whole purpose.. it's just supposed to be a tiny, don't-notice-it-unless-yer-really-lookin, type thing... like kids carving their names in a school desk or somethin. so really it's quite small... you'll really have to look to find yer sig.

that's why i didn't tell you guys what this one is for either... more fun that way. i will mention these logos tho will probably be more prominent, particularly to about 1/3rd of all newbies.

i need to get myself psp8

my trial ran out ages ago! whats another good program? i have GIMP but its not great...

can't remember the name of the one i was recommened before... argh! any ideas?
how could i get another trial of psp8? i do have a cd with it on but i think its corrupted

but i lost it anyhows!

I have paint shop pro 7, tom.

I doubt it will be much different than psp8. I'll be willing to exchange it for a copy of the latest edition of championshop manager

I would want the cd back though, you only need it once to install it anyway...thats kinda obvious but meh.
