zoric 13 as an undersea themed economy world?
today i stumbled apun a nice full collection of under sea stuff.
models that are properly textured for use in the game and easily converted for use here (already rotated and resized 25 of em)
the set includes over 60 buildings, some vehicles, ground textures, and a few other bits and pieces. all the models are nicely shaped and beutifully colored aswell.
with all this stuff readily available, i'm wanting to make an undersea themed economy world. current zoric will stay as is. next zoric was planned to be a harder version of the current zoric 12, but i'm thinking of making it an undersea themed world instead.
whats everybody else think of this?
some of the models will be on the current zoric to see, like the electric powerplant:
thier is also a nuclear powerplant that will be used.
as well as other models that will be used for buildings that don't yet have any proper models.

undersea based economy of course
as for vehicles thierd be walking/swimming (thier is a scuba diver model that can possibly be used and possibly animated), and various subs useing the helicopter control mode since its most like a sub control mode. woulden't be any real 'ocean' since we can't make a true underwater utopia yet
but the ground would be textured to look like the ocean floor, thier'd (possibly) be underwater looking plants, the sky would be textured to look like water. the land would be slightly foggy all year round (to simulate the low visibility being underwater usually has)
wildlife would include fish, orcha wales, possibly also a giant squid.
one of the economy chains could be fish meat and whale meat, and meat from any other sealife thats added. along with oil mining, gold mining, pearl mining, lobster farming, salt farming, and other misc undersea stuff.

But economy gives you a better motivator to succeed. Whats better, showing off your top level cool car, or showing it off for a few seconds and blasting people with slowing them down and preventing them from so easily getting the car aswell
[btw, this is just a general war supporter in general and not designated at the next Zoric]

Only reason they are annoying is because some people have more skill in them in others, causing people to be annoyed and leave...JasonX wrote:anoyying war planet
And once one person gets a building destroyer vehicle that person wins... (Tis how I won Drellis 3)
Do not call all War planets annoying. Thats like calling all Econmies annoying. All ye do on those is transport things back and forth.
annoying because of skill? ROFL. what a load of crock. all you do on a war world is drive around holding tab. and unless anything has changed in the past year or so, thiers still some people who will just camp out a spawn zone and blow you up and tons more that fight by just driving backwards as fast as they can away from you while shooting and then say your the one not fighting while you sit still and wait for them to come back. thiers also people that will get pansy alot about getting blown up because 'they were trying to do something' or 'weren't ready' and then throw a fit. skill required to do any of these things? nope. so yea, pretty much any war only world is annoying....or atleast boring.
on an economy you have to use your brain a bit or atleast a calculator in order to survive. you have to find the trade routes, or compete with others in pricing and supplies in order to make buildings that will give you a better bussiness to help you survive and grow an economic empire.
why do you think non-pvp servers are more popular then pvp servers in pretty much every rpg?
economy only has always been more popular here
zoric 1, zoric 2, tunbridge (mostly economy), eville, the underground, whatever 1st runners world was, zion before weapons were made, sabrada, planitia (had weaps but afaik, none were used). all the most popular worlds of thier time
but heck, if you wanna say war is only annoying because of skill, then fine.
guess that means i can say that economy is only disliked by people that don't know how to survive in one. they can't figure out how to stock a house or waste all thier money and end up dieing. they get annoyed, and leave.

thiers been war economies. like tunbride, zion, planitia, and several others that weren't to popular.
the trick with a good war economy is to cleverly balence it out so that both types can exist and run effectivly without pansy off the econ likers or the war likers.
apocylipseland 2 was also a war economy style. it would be on the list also, except thiers nothing to conmpair it to since it was the only world running 3 and a half years ago. but also, back then players were more civilised and helped each other alot more. it was a time when you could easily transfer stuff and people would actually buy and sell at profitable amounts to let people transfer. plus, alot of the buildings diden't sell what they made and many players actually enjoyed delivering thier stuff around. any mean or misbehaving players would often get ganged up on and blown up until they died. 3 or 4 blow ups and you'd die from the 200 health loss blowing up cost
oh, shoulda said this in the last post i made, but...
skill has little to do with what you like and dislike. i don't like fighting much, but i happen to be very good at it. i was one of the best fighters on apocylipseland 2. blackdevil (if you've never heard of him) was possibly the best. me, blackdevil and another guy named calren would often get into battles that'd easily go 15 mins without a blow up. we'd fight until we had low health from blowing up, and take a break to drink chems to raise our thirst so we could drink beer to heal our health. we'd also act like bounty hunters and perform hits on people
