Requested documentation
would like to see some info on build zones plz
theres not too much to it..
'Build zones' give you the option of restricting certain buildings to certain areas of the map.
You set the build zone number in the b.dat editor for each building. The default value (0) means the building can be built anywhere. (Or at least in/not in towns as appropriate).
A value of 1 - 15 means this building can only be built in the correct zone.
To set the zones, use the construction menu and the 'lay box' function like normal, to define the region you want.
Use the command :
.buildzone [NUM]
to set the zone.
You can make as many different regions with the same zone numbers as you like. (Though, as with all map things, the fewer the better, to keep your map size small).
You can delete all buildzones on your world using the command
*delallmap 30
Note that World Owners & Sysops are not affected by buildzones (nor by skill & town requirements etc). Its always good practice to *clearauth yourself and test this sorta stuff before finalising your world.
