end of wings field. new world coming soon - Ciroz
for any that haven't noticed, wings field hasen't run in a few weeks now. it will no longer be running but instead replaced with a world named ciroz. yes, it is zoric spelt backwards
the first ciroz will be the racing/economy world that was planned for zoric 12.
ciroz will also be used at times to provide easier versions of the zoric world running at the time (since zoric WILL be getting harder) or it will be used to continue a zoric if some people don't want zoric to reset. like if zoric 13 is resetting, but some want it to stay, zoric 13 would be moved to ciroz so that people can still play it while zoric resets to zoric 14.
the bdat is finished for the world.
am starting working on the heightmap now.
hopefully the world can be available to play by next weekend.
after getting ciroz running, i'll be starting on new models which will be used for both zoric and ciroz. including many animated buildings.

good news for Ciroz anticipaters.
the origional plan was to draw the heightmap by hand (well...by mouse ) pixle by pixle to get the hills, slopes, mountains, and roads perfectly set up. but...due to the boringness of doing it this way, i've only drawn a few pixles in the past month
but, i have been looking at info and have decided am going to try and make the heightmap useing a 3d modelling program then export it to a greyscale bmp.
this basicly means that it will get done INCREDIBLY faster then it would have origionally.
gonna be honest though, and say it'll probably now only take a month instead of a year
will probably still take a while since i'll have to get a program that can do this (*cough* a 'free' one), learn how to use it, then learn how to do it all. after that it's just fidling with it until i make what i want.

zar - try milkshape 3d - dead easy to use and free I can't guarantee it will do what you want it to tho
however, if you want to save time and hard work, email me with details of what you want, and Chezzie will play around in terragen and vue d'esprit for ya
(presuming you still have my email address - failing that, mit or fooli can supply it)

(yay searching)
Though that doesn't really end up right in the game when you export it to a grayscale bitmap...I had a way to fix that by lowering the bitmap colors in paint buut I forgot which one I chose (anyways it kinda screwed up the hills but worked fine)
Milkshape 3d I've yet to try (but I will!)
