A New 'Classic' World

Post by Whirl »

This is the first official announcement of my World. If any of you are familiar with Tunbridge Island (circa 2002-2003), then you'll have a broad idea of the setup of this new world. It is a 'classic', economy-based World introducing a few new production and product schemes, while taking advantage of the new features introduced since Islands v03.x. The World is currently being built foundation-wise by myself, and in a week or so, a closed group of users will be invited to check everything out, provide specific suggestions, and help me build it a little more.

If you have any broad suggestions in what you'd like to see in a world, I'm open to them. No guarantees that I'll be able to do anything about it, but I'd like a little user input.

Currently, the World is set to launch probably around the first week in August. This is subject to change, and no dates whatsoever have been set yet.

(a little screenshot to make you curious...)

Again, the world is in the very early stages of development.

 Dang you world owners! Can't you leave the past in the past and come up with your own ideas for worlds and not just make one econ after another?! There are enough econs already, they make up the almost all of the reasonably populated worlds. Step outside the cozy box for a little bit and get creative.

not really unique. luca is also a classic island. as was zoric 10.

zoric was a remake of apoc 2 (remade from device's origional bdat actually)
luca used the same bdat as zoric 10 but had a few tweaks in it.

either way, it sounds good whirl.
are you remaking it from scratch?
or are you converting the origional tun1 bdat?

My Islands have always had originality. I was the first to use Livestock farms to make fertilizer. ;) This one will be sufficiently different from the other Worlds, trust me.

I don't have the original b-dat, so yes, it's all from scratch for now.
