what if there is no gateways.lst file to delete. I tried Foolis way too but it only shows chat server and andromeda in gateways. And if I delete one of them it is gone and I have to manually enter it to access gameMit wrote:delete the file Clients/Data/Gateways.lst and it will auto-generate a new one with the gal address in it.

ya i dont see this file neither i know i am in the right folder i re downloaded it like 3 times but no file . first i did the my computer then program files, theuniversal, clients, data and know file, there is no gateways.1st at all not there. but i hope u are comeing up with a solution to this because i just started on the planet and i got hooked.
Still no go for me,tryed clearing the gatway list (There seems to be no gateway.lst file), Refreshing the world list and...nothing. Removing both servers,etc,etc. You get the point. 
Right now I dc/ed my router and so a direct connect doesn't work,software firewall trafic is passible, hardware firewall not interfering and still no prevail...
Just a small thought but...how bout adding a gateway manualy? Maybe that will do it.

As i mentioned above, traceroute programs unconnected to the game dont let me connect to hedge's puter at the moment, so its not something directly game-related that I can fix. Other than some weirdness at hedge's ISP or router i dont really know what could be causing it...
