what the universal has ?? they down ok .. but they another server do you know they name

Awha? If you run the a-tractor client you get a list of 3 servers. The Republic is the only one tthat works. (As far as I know) No space stuff,galaxy stuff,name stuff here.

Server list updates come from the chat server.
Since the chat server is down, you cannot use the A-Tractor client. (dun dun dun)

Thanks for the help Kirby, but I now have an even worse problem....
When I run either client I get the "As this is your first time playing you will need to enter some details" message! I really don't want to have to change my username, password etc. How can I log in with my old user?

I've run into this situation a couple of times. (Hard disk Refrag and such) I never had problems typing my same old username and password.
(Nickname doesn't matter since you can change it in game anyway)

But to be on the safe side you can wait for a staff response

That'll happen if you run from a new folder, or delete the file 'tractor.cfx'. (This file stores your selected username, password and other client options like whether you're running fullscreen or windowed, etc etc).
As kirby rightly says, re-entering the same username and password will be fine.

i dunno why its not workin for u particularly - all that kinda stuff is why i said earlier that "Its not completely finished or polished or anything ".. the gal's up now anyway, so i wouldnt bother.. :]
