Coming soon..

Post by Mit »

Sometime around 1.50 you'll be able to add interiors to your buildings, invite ppl in and (if you so wish, run around shootin em).

We'll provide you with a tool for editing interiors, and a basic collection of models & textures (rooms, doors, bits of furniture etc) to start with. Interior maps can combine any number of models and textures, and can include animated and semi-transparent models.

When you've created an interior, you must upload it (and any additional models and textures) to your own webspace. Once uploaded, you'll be able to go to any worlds that allow it (Some owners may want to set default interiors representing different building types instead) and set the interiors on your buildings by typing in the URL where you uploaded your map.

Anybody visiting the interior will automatically download the map and any models & textures from the webserver as required.

Later versions of the interiors will incorporate 3d links to other map URLs, static special effects, separate gameplay rules and control methods, video screens, and areas where winter showers create an aura of warmth around you for hours.

Very Nice.

The addition of a tool to edit interiors makes it even better.

I look forward to it. :D

That will be sweet mit but some people will have a hard time modeling interior items. Instead os the person having to make chairs and stuff why do you make a whole bunch of models like chairs tables .etc and make it so people can choose from a list of what people want in there house.

um, yeh, thats the plan :] hence..

You won't need to model anything to build your own interior.. but the option will be there if you do want something custom built.

this is exellent. i suggest you all check out a program called ROOOMANCER at
www.moove.com its the same concept but with a realy intuitive downloading system. its just a chat client realy, not realy game to speak, but it should give you a good concept of what this is all about.

Will we be able to manufacture chairs, tables etc? Will there be more of a demand for wood for these items? Sounds very interesting.

I never thought of that - a simeaque feel with chosing carpet, wallpapers, tv set and such would be very fun, and make the game much more immersive :)
