If you're interested in programming ( and have at least a basic knowledge of C/C++ ), theres now a Usergroup on these forums that you can join. ( Click the Usergroups link at the top and apply ).

I'll shortly be posting some new stuff for that usergroup, including a bit of source code that uses the game's rendering engine in a standalone form.. which you can easily expand to do various other 3d-like things.
For a suitably obscene donation i might even let you have the 3d engine source :].
