Shame on me, going to advertize another game here
Go give a try to Scorched Earth 3D.
Tis basically an artillery/economy between rounds game, based on an old 2D game (prolly one of the older games i ever played on a PC).
This time, the 3D version kept a very enjoyable gameplay (opposed to disappointings 3Disations of worms or lemmings).
Tis quite funny how this game has common features with A Tractor : Its main developper probably drink whisky (did not ask him, but he's from scotland ), it all happens on islands, you run weird vehicles sending sicko weapons at each other...
Interesting points to notice : Free, opensource, run on many different OSes.
Perhaps even have some good ideas to steal there for A Tractor... (I love the realtime dynamic landscape thing !)
Enuf advertising - i'll cross advertise for a Tractor in their forums to stay fair
Another enjoyable time waster.
heh, devi, me & fooli played that game endlessly for about 3 months on the amiga. Tis a classic indeed.
We even had a lil theme song we used to sing when playing it. It believe it went
"tanks, tanks, scorchy scorchy tanks, scorchy scorchy scorchy tanks" quite a lot. something like that.
We were very very tiny at the time of course
