General Survey

I have a good bit of webspace, and an even nicer bit of bandwidth available to me. I was wondering if there was any general interest in having an alternate download mirror for Universal files. In addition to this -- assuming there is sufficient interest -- I am looking into writing an upload script ...

Heck, even I could host the galaxy. It's just a matter of getting everyone's clients to point a different location for the galaxy. ;P And whether or not the trouble of releasing a new version and getting the galaxy server and instructions to someone else is worth the trouble is all up to Mit.

Christmas will hopefully keep us slightly more occupied than usual. (: It'd be nice to have someone available to host a redundant server.

Lovely little introduction / overview that I wrote. Pick and choose as you wish. ---------- Overview The Universal is a free third-person online multiplayer game comprised of a virtual universe that parallels real life, with a few twists. Dang you world owners! Can't you leave the past in the past and come up with your own ideas for worlds and not just make one econ after another?! There are enough econs already, they make up the almost all of the reasonably populated worlds. Step outside the cozy box for a little bit and get...

A New 'Classic' World

This is the first official announcement of my World. If any of you are familiar with Tunbridge Island (circa 2002-2003), then you'll have a broad idea of the setup of this new world. It is a 'classic', economy-based World introducing a few new production and product schemes, while taking advantage o...

The lowest video hardware specs I've found the latest version of Tractor to run on are:

16MB ATI Rage 128 Pro Ultra GL, which is about four or five years old, and this card isn't even recognized as existing anymore :).

So you'll probably need a card with at least 16MB on it.

Firstly, if you're running an NT system or higher, open up the program manager, and look in processes. Any programs that are running will be listed here. Any sort of reboot, even when done incorrectly, will terminate executed program files (even if left in memory, the process could not survive throu...
