Description:
the production building type , sometimes deasnt product item.
I rremember it in sargent , when bin buildings.dat was needed to one building producted stuffs , and it didn't!
now i see same thing in Zion.

There are lots of valid reasons why a building would not produce, depending on the various possible world settings..

Are you absolutely sure its not just something like the building not having an employee?

If you are sure, give me the details of which particular building is not producing and i'll have a look at it.

this bug has been around for a long time and effects 2 different building setups:

if a house/retail/store type building is set to produce items and you put 16 different items in it, it will stop producing. even after the items are removed it wont produce anymore. i think the cause of this one is because the items will remain in the buildings items list even after being removed. they will show 0 quantity, but still will show up.


sometimes buildings that produce things from cash are randomly effected by this bug as well. its VERY random as you could build 2 buildings next to each other, have them set up *exactly* the same way, and one could run fine and the other might stop producing after an hour or two. i've seen it happen on zion a few times, as well zoric and ariya. it randomly comes and goes with no indication of what causes it whatsoever and only strikes random buildings.

a few zorics ago i had it so bad that no building that produced from cash would run for more then a few game days and i had to change the buildings in the bdat so they produced from a gov supplied item instead of from deneri.

on one of the old ariyas where it happened there where numerous reports of causes. despite the fact that morby had it set so damage didn't effect production, the buildings would stop once they got a bit of damage and then not start once repaired. other people on the world had said that once there building filled up or used up the initial investment, they wouldn't start producing again after emptied or reinvested.

on zion it happened a few years ago too. even though zions settings haven't changed in 5 years (afaik) there have been occasional spurts of where invested, employed ore mines didn't produce ore despite not having a min invest level set.
