Forget the Forums...

Post by wes773 »

I've never been one to post much, maybe that's why I feel this way. I think everybdoy should forget about the forums and get in-game. It does no good to talk about the game you aren't playing. I am talking to Baladin right now(ingame) and he suggested some players come up with some arranged events. Mit has given us the power to make the game what we want it, we need to do our job. He's far too busy to mess with the game sometimes so it's not fair for us to complain to him about stuff we can fix ourselves. If we want some space action, how about somebody coming up with a subspace "island"? I know it looks like I'm not doing much to get this game back together but I'm doing all I can. If I could I would host a planet but I can't, dialup sucks.

Looking forward to seeing you all ingame. have fun :)

edit: arranged events can be arranged in forums.... a nice use for forums

yeah i agree.

Iv been playing and i see nobody in space. but i see a hell of a lot of activity in the forums.

the game is not in the forums!!

Stop typing about it and play it. so when new players log in they wont see just an empty game, they will see players flying around and have players to get help from.

Iv been doing the most i can to get new players to stay. and i also cant host a planet because of a sH!%y router.

Yep it would definetely be nice to see you guys ingame a little bit more, even if your afk at least its keeping TU active. Also we need a few more worlds to open up too, I mean its like 420 and Xebec are the only worlds up right now and new players are constantly asking me why they cant land on the planets. Its know its nice to comment on the game but why not play it once in a while

zar, we know you're in the game... it's just half these other people that i don't see in game. it is possible they get on when i'm not able to... we didnt mean to sound like that... we were just trying to help the game by getting anybody who may be just posting in the forums to get ingame.

LoL.................. I don't get in game coz the game is BOOOOOOOORING! The game has lost it's charm.

I got on yesterday though, and just saw TU in the same close to death situation.... I just don't have fun playing this game anymore.

And what's wrong with visiting the forums? You know how long I take to visit and post? Just 5 mins per day. So the forums aren't so time consuming..... people post, then continue playing.... and if they don't get in game........it's because the have nothing to do in it, you can't force them to play something not playable anymore. Iit just hurts to say it, "nothing to do in a game".

I think the community of TU is pushing this game really far, and that's really good, but with a a lack of content (which is what a game depends on), the community can't do much. Let's face it guys, this game has a huge lack of content. Players demand content because it's what a game is made off, if it lacks, then we are lacking game. The players feed on content, when it lacks....... what are we supposed to feed on? Should we all reset ourselves? Then should we do it again? And again? Then will the game depend on continous resets? Is it fun doing the same things over and over again? Playing the same content again? I don't think so, maybe it's ok two times but after the third time, you will prefer to leave and play something else.

For example, you pass Mario Bros, perfect, would you do it again? Well yes......., now you passed it again, will you do it again now? Maybe yes.... but then the third time what's going to happen? Will you prefer to pass it again or play another game? I think the answer is obvious.

People what keeps games alive is content, let's face it, becuase players feed on this content, but that's natural coz we are players playing this content, when there is no more content, what are we going to play? I don't know if I'm making myself clear.

Just what are you going to do if you have nothing else to play in a game? Well you're gonna leave or go afk till someone comes in and chat. So are we going to have a game with afkers and chatters? Is that even a game?

So I don't think the forums are the reason for why we are not in game, we barely spend 5-10mins here per day. I think there a better reasons that are worth looking into to.

mishka, that's the whole point of my post... we are at this point prettymuch self-ran. we need some players to make worlds and make things interesting. with the scripting language, i'm sure there are plenty of new things that can be done with the game. the only reason it lacks content is because we let it be lacking... on the space-side, nothing much can be done but resetting ourselves(til we start getting new patches). I see your point, after beating metal gear solid 13 or 14 times(seriously), i grew bored of it. it doesnt mean there arent things i havent seen in it.

anyways, would anybody be interested in hosting a planet for me? If so, reply to my topic that im about to create about it.

wow mishka, almost seems like a complete flip of attitude from back when you were posting in the space reset topic. its space though, what could be added to it to provide tons of entertainment while still keeping it space like? you play space a lot, post some ideas in the feature requests section :P

otherwise, unless you play worlds, your gonna have to accept that space is just that, space. space is vast, space is empty, space is black with little dots for stars. now do you see why i and others don't think players should be forced to play space if they don't like it?

I have posted so many requests I have lost count, but I'm not feeling creative today, and got a terrible headache.

Worlds also have problems with content, not as much as space because its content base mostly depends on players.

I'm gonna lay my head for a bit.
