New guide

Post by Tom »

i'm writting a new guide for the game.

this isn't for noobies especially, just for those who arn't rich, and think they need a reset, but really could just try hard to make money. since there seems to be far to many people getting resets because of small reasons like wrong skill or a building thats not great, so i just want to help them get a few more sheckles in the bank

i have been reset on zoric and had all my start cash except 10s taken away. this is to help me write up this new guide for getting back on their feet. when its done, in about a week or so i'll mail it to magic or mit or zar to stick on the new site if its good enough, and on zars help site i spose

Maybe you'll make the guide better if you were drunk. Here, have a litre of my 100% alcoholic drink. :D

um, well, i was a lil bit gone earlier... after 4 buds, and that pizza delivery guy got the brunt of my anger after the pizza took 1 hour 30 mins to come... but yeh, i'm fine now :)

if anyone wants a preview of it then you can leave your email here and i'll mail you it, or mail me at Tom_j_e@hotmail.com and ask for it.

and if you've read it, any constructive critism is welcomed with open arms

Why not just post a link to the guide here? There's a lot of free web hosting servers to host a text file. If its short enough, you could even post it here. Then it'd be a lot easier for me to criti--.. constructively criticize you...

well, i don't want to put it on a hosting site yet tipster since im updating it constantly and even when i send it out, often 2 minutes later thats an old one. so i don't see the need to yet.

magic, i'll mail u it now, but its not the finished article yet :) should be done soon.... whenever i make more money really

Once the new version comes out I think I'll be making a "Noob's guide of how not to do it"
As well as being helpful it would probably seem slightly sarcastic, but only because some people really are amazing at pushing the game to its limits. It will consist of Hints, Potential Problems and even Case Studies. Any suggestions to other titles will be welcome...

This will be constantly updated as I find out new ways of "how not to do it"

For example, if I had made the guide earlier,

"Potential Problem No. 173.....Don't discard your tractor to see what will happen" would had been added...

lol yeh.

i'm gonna write a F.A.Q afterwards which i spose will touch that kind of stuff in brief, but a indepth guide would not only be helpful but probably quite humourus

hmm thinks about adding an editor so guide writers can update their own documents

**new site includes a WYSIWYG Editor (i.e 5.5+) so that guide authors are able to update their work once there guide has agreement to be published on the main site **

Well, it works for Mit.

One of the trick a lot of people forget is ur basic tractor. Somewhere around I've got a guide to help people who have just died, and have approximately bugger all money left.

Ah, well.
