The Universal on Myspace

yeah i know just the word 'myspace' is enough to make some people cringe. but the fact is that its a great way to advertise on the net, cause you can add a bunch of people and then send out bullitens. people are bored as heck on myspace and i know that this game is just as addictive if not more so. (and just as free)

so now that space is a bit more balanced its time for more new players. so i set up the site:

i know i know, but myspace.com/theuniversal, and /the_universal were already taken.

k now i need your help. i dont wanna do this all myself, and i know theres some peeps here who could design a better myspace page than i.

i need someone whos familiar with layouts.
i need every video trailer ever made for the universal.
i need imput, ideas, captivating text promos. etc.

I will be making an animated gif or 2 made up of screenshots of space battle.

ill be using those adding sites to add buttloads of 'friends'. i will do this myself since those adding sites may cause unfriendly spyware. my comp is already used to this kind of spyware.

i plan on sharing this profile with a few other trustworthy artists who wanna bring in more newbs.. i expect anyone who reads this and has a myspace profile to add it. right now its just a blank page but that should be changing soon.

I volunteer to take over the design aspect. You've seen my myspace, I think I'm qualified enough.

Also, as we talked about this before I don't think that many people should have access to it.

I don't think that's true. Your just stereotyping. It's much the same as stating that all black people love to eat fried chicken and watermelon, then steal bikes in their free time.

I think a racial sterotype is a lot worse than simply stating a online comunities reputation XD

While I'm not at all happy about this, I believe it is a step in the right direction, or at the very least, it's a lot better than advertising with people like onrpg. In other words, perhaps they'll know how to, or at the very least, be grammatically correct...

That's exactly the wrong kind of influence we want in deciding just who we want to pitch this game to... Perhaps you ought to rethink this entire charade, or do I need to get my obligatory "NOOOO!" flash PSA out?

Meh, we are doing this anyway. Hopefully it will yield an influx of popularity and newcomers to the game regardless of creed, religion, race, affiliation, or sexual orientation. People are people regardless of how they wear their hair and eye makeup.

wow i spent all day "pimping" (if you will) the universal myspace page.

It wasnt too popular before, with all the info right up front, looked to advertismenty, i think it was scaring ppl off.

SO i souped it up to look like a cockpit. and took all the info off the front page.
