A simple problem

All i want is to just make a battle-torn world.
like, rocky terrain, destroyed buildings, etc.
and the ability to kill people.
and maybe even get money for killing people,
are there any pre-set layouts for this? also, what program should i use to open pre-made worlds? i read how to open them but when i go to my server and file>>import world, the file never shows up...
i think i might need WinZip...
