We want yaw!
I've seen several "feature request" posts, but I'm going to keep this one focused. Yaw! Yaw! Yaw!
If you also want to be able to steer via yaw in space, reply to this post.

I want yaw. It allows for more creative manuvering.
I hear that the argument against yaw is that its less realistic. To this i ask, if a ship can change its axis to point up and down, why cant it change its axis to point side to side? considering that there is no air in space, i think that yaw is the same as pitch here.

Gliding and Warping with the mouse would be useful but that would be difficult to do with the menu keys in the game. Unless there was a button for turning it on and off like the mouse lock key on worlds.Willburn wrote:I'd also like to see mouse controll (if thats not already in the game) if yaw should get implemented.

Mouse control
Pitch and Roll can be controlled with the mouse by clicking on the white bars in the reticle.Even works while on autopilot, which allows you to keep the darn thing from overshooting the turn.Acceleration can be controlled by clicking on the arrows at the top and bottom of the speed bar,but that doesn't override the autopilot speed control.
when configureable keys get finished you could easily set it up how you want.
on a side note, and to allow typing still, this would be nice:
num-pad 1 = straf left
num-pad 2 = tilt up
num-pad 3 = straf right
num-pad 4 = roll left
num-pad 5 = quickly stop all movement
num-pad 6 = roll right
num-pad 7 = turn left
num-pad 8 = tilt down
num-pad 9 = turn right
num-pad - = decel
num-pad + = accel
1 hand could control it all
