When logging in noticed a doubling of my ship and I'm listed twice in the players list in space

Sorry,I usually do my research before posting.My roommate downloaded the game and we are using the same wireless router.The doubling only seems to occur when we are both logged on and in the same system.I don't see him but I see a double of myself.The doubling goes away if I leave the system he's in.

i can see alfred's name if we are on the same planet. (I'm the guy sharing a router with him) I have not yet checked to see if we can see eachothers avatars on planet. in space you can actually target yourself because the doubled ship follows you. alfred blew himself up.

Its gone now, me and alfred can see eachother fine now .

Update: as of today we can't see each other again.No idea what has changed

we might have been connected to different wireless routers when we could see eachother, i think thats what probably happened.

None of this is buggy. It's just what happens when two PCs share the same IP address... the game's not really designed to support that at the moment, so Weird Things Can Happen. Not a great deal you can do about it, and you'll probably find it'll come and go at random.
