Naming stargates?

You know stargates? Those ring thingies you fly through to teleport to a different system? (If you don't know, click this.)
They don't have any names.
Now, it's a bit annoying to have to refer to them as 'that stargate between [star system A] and [star system B]', so I think naming them would be a good idea.
Does anybody have any ideas about this?

how about giving them game staff names, like MIT gate,Fooli gate, etc. *shameless butkissing promotion to the staff by the SR* seriously, i like the idea, but i cant even decide on a name for my planet, so i have no ideas on what to name a gate.

I think you are on to something.

Even a string of letters and numbers: the F-001-I or the M-1- T (You get the picture) would work a little better.

Further it would be nice if once you "discover" these gates that they become part of your navigation computer... Another request.....
