joystick????

theis an option for it in the options on small mode but it dosnt seem to want to set up, i think itd be cool to use ma joystick jst for the hell of it but it dnt seem to work, is the function functioning yet?????

Joystick support is something DeVice worked on some time ago (2 or 3 years, I think) and as far as I know it was "sort of working". But not finished. I've never tested it.

The only way to be sure is to try it...

I guess you could also try using one of the many joystick/control configuration utilities to map joystick commands to game keyboard commands. You won't get analogue control but who knows, it might work. I played Subspace once with a steering wheel that way, so anything's possible ;)

ive just gave it a try (well last night) and all that happens is i spin round and round and round and get rly dissy hmmm mabby i setr it up wrong...................

i tried hooking up a joystick. I couldnt get the accelerate and decelerate to function on the joystick. and though the d pad works, i couldnt get it set up right. at first the up and down were inverted, when i tried to switch them, things got messed up and now it spins without me doing anything.

I was hioping to play this game with a joystick.

OK i got the directional pad to work right!

press f1 small windows
go to:

options - jostick setup

make sure its set to 'spaceship driving'

It took some figuring out how the interface works, but i managed to set mine to this and it worked right.:

UP.....................................Axe #1 -
Down................................Axe #1 +
Turn left............................Axe #0 -
Turn right...........................Axe #0 +

the directional pad works awesome its fun to fly!

but as much as i tried, i cant get it to read the buttons to set accelerate and decelerate.

This would be a truly awesome game if the accelerate, decelerate, lasers, and perhaps missles, countermeasures and docking were all buttons on the controller.

i know what ya mean lol, hmmm i gotta gt a new joystick now tho, had a new comp and dont have the socket for the one i had now
