Please improve the pirate ship, please.

Why does the pirate ship has such low stats? Small cargo bay, low armor, low ion drive, can't you equalize it a bit with the police fighter?

I think the aim of owning a pirate ship is to have someone with you, also owning one. So two pirate ships would likely match a police ship and pirates are likely to have a lower range of technology than the police who would likely be able to stock their ships with more up-to date stuff. Spare parts would probably be used for the pirate ships, meaning that either they were modified so intensely that they are super-quick (millenium falcon springs to mind but that isnt the case here) or they simply don't have parts working together correctly.
