the new map editor destroyed my planet

when i updated the universal and opened up my planet, all of my textures were in complete chaos. my terrain was un even, sending some of my buildings in the air slightly (destroyin the neatness). that ....... map editor destroyed my planet, and i dont know what to do. the only thing i know of is to reset my planet, but i really dont want to do that. someone help me!!!

/me ponders... I've noticed an odd thing with the textures on drellis as well (started with the 50.1.5 client I believe)... hasn't really messed with the buildings or anything, but the textures on the landscape seem to be blended with every other texture that's in my world's texture folder, however no one's complained about the textures yet so it could very well just be me >_>

Probably not talking about the same thing but I've noticed that the graphics/textures are a bit more pixelated ( sp? ) in some areas of the game then usual. Could be just me though.

mm, shouldnt be anything different in the normal landscape -> Rendering Modes, but i have been fiddling about a lot in the landscape code so possible something got broken somewhere along the line. (Also possible that some setting you've got that was previously unused as now started doing something, so we'll need to check that.. Does anything on the landscape settings screen seem out of place? )

Don't reset your world, eman. If there is a setting or a bug causing this it'll be a clientside thing.. and if neccessary ill put up a patch to fix it. Whats the name of your world btw? Is it available for others to see? (i.e. Id like to pop in and have a look at whats happenin)

yea, thiers a minor bug with the textures.

i've been looking into it a bit so haven't reported it yet. but i think the autogen texture generator is messing up. sometimes the textures will change and display textures like those for vehicles are buildings when you open a menu.

my world is called Atrum, and it is not currently online becuz i am trying to get a stronger stardrive to find a planet that i can land on. im going throught the incredibly slow process of getting cr starting at zero so im sad....:(

and my landscape just got messed up. the textures all started to mix together.
and, when i tried evening the landscape where the buidling were hovering a bit, i created a big hole that goes straight to zero. :'( and im afraid to try fixing it.

update: ok, i found out that when i enter the map editor it messes up the ground textures and the vehicle textures, but when i relog, everthing is back to normal.
also, the big pit is now gone :D:D:D:D:D:D:D so happy. and i fixed the bulding hovering prob (i just rebuilt them took me seconds) and now im starting to love that damned mapeditor :D

please could you tell me what setting you currently have for Landscape -> Auto Texture Generation Mode ?
(If its currently 1 or 2, try changing it to 3.. you might find that mode more stable for now - modes 1 & 2 do seem a little broke atm).

I've found (and I think, fixed) an issue with texture loading in the 0.50.2 client - a patch will be made available once ive confirmed the fix is ok.

There is a .1.zip available to the closed beta usergroup now. (Apply using the Usergroups option at the top of the page if you don't already have access).
Please could those of you who had texture problems check to see if this version is better? (If so, ill put it on the public downloads).

weird color texture

on my work in progress i just get all rainbow for my texture. i also changes the settings for landscape and it did nothing.
