Hi, new to world setup. I've installed the World program, and done as the instructions say, install into the same directory as the main client. When I run the game though, I get an error saying "The procedure entry point Bass_ChannelSetFlags could not be located in the dynamic link library BASS.dll"
Have I installed this wrong?

I dunno, but my install has a bass.dll in the universal root, data and clients folders. You could try copying it everywhere and see if that helps :)

You need to apply the patch after installing the world server.

Actually, I've just tried that and I still get the error. After a fresh install & patch, I had to copy bass.dll from the root folder to the clients folder for it to work.

I have a similar problem to this but mine is with a different message.
The procedure entry point BASS_ChannelPlay could not be located in the dynamic link library BASS.dll
I know its basically the same, or i hope it is, so i copied the BASS.dll from the universal root folder which is in my case.
C:\Documents and Settings\peter\My Documents\TheUniversal
to everywhere.
My folder structure from the root folder looks like this now, DOS is handy.
I've highlighted the folders where BASS.dll is now located.
please tell me where this is wrong so that I can try and fix it.

The bass.dll was replaced by a newer one a couple of months ago.
If you want to just confirm you've got the correct one - check the modification date for the file (Right click it and select properties). The modification date should be 12 Jun 2006.
If any are older than that, delete and replace em with the newer one.
The newer bass.dll is included in all the full installers for the client and the worlds. Grab the full game installer and re-extract it into the folder you originally put it in. (You won't lose your character or anything like that..) Assuming you extract it to the default Program Files/TheUniversal , you'll find the correct bass.dll in Program Files/TheUniversal/Clients.
