Autogen issues with >4 textures and textures > 256

Description:
1. More than 4 autogen textures screws up the blending - colours and textures seem to bear little resemblance to the originals. 4 works ok

2. If you assign textures in the world server, then change your mind, there's no way to unassign them. Even if they're not in the world server /gen dir the client keeps looking for them, producing errors (eg: top of screen: 'downloading 249 of 0 bytes'; chat log: "error while opening height bitmap file: [name of autogen file]).

This also seems to break the first four (normally working) textures: now that I've deleted texture files 4-8, I can't get autogen to actually render anything, even with textures that worked before in the first four slots.

3. using 512 textures for autogen produces strange artifacts- as 1. but with blotches and lines of primary colour all over the place

Have no idea why but none of this is broken at the moment ;)
