I have built my planet, and followed the set up a world through a router sticky post.I have the "my world" server thing open and i try to claim the unnamed planet (has small text). Insted it just says " server couldent connect to world, world not respondiong to join messages" which is what i get when a world is offline. Is there something im missing to make my worldclaim the planet?

Ummm...whas there any other text under unnamed before you crashed into it?
If so...it is an unregister world - all unregister worlds have the unnamed title...
If it didn't then you have a problem...

Most likely it's still a router problem. Tricky to fix unless you're online and available to chat (so I or another staff member can check what the galaxy thinks is happening).

OKay, im taking a closer look, i think it is an unregested world, cuz it has tempory desigation:
but i thought we would claim a planet that has an unregested world if the world was off for more than 10 min. i will be online this afternoon, 3:30pm EST. Not sure what time that is for u guys. other than that i can get online for a short time at 7:45am EST. i can ping that port fwording thing i set up, so i dont think its that. I also have Zone Labs running at the moment, which is preventing acces to that port foward. i am goin to set an advanced option in is soon. But currenty i just switch it off for a second. even with it off i still carnt connect. Thanks for any help

You're right - you can't claim a temporarily designated world until it has expired. I can't remember what the expiry time is but I doubt it's a little as ten minutes. The only sure fire way to find out is to grab a world that's definitely not been claimed...

Uknown's are free worlds, Unnamed are unregistered worlds. I think expiration of unregistered world lies somewhere between 2 weeks to a month, probably depending on Mit's 'updating' of the galaxy server

go monthly and remove world if it has been on for 72-96 hours during the month(to give people who pull down their unregistered worlds a chance at keeping the spot.

I really don't know what the threshold is, but regardless... if your world stays online most of the time it won't expire. It only disappears if it stays offline for a certain length of time. If I knew what that was this conversation would have been a lot clearer - but as far as I know it has nothing to do with updating the galaxy server - it's just an automatic thing coded in. I think ::)

.....if that made any sense Fooli...I'd still be were Paint's Plaza/Apex is now and Ariya would still be where it was, unless there is something in the code that removes unregistered worlds if their offline when checked every so often.
