Description:
just started happening today - whenever I switch windows to read the forums, and then switch back, I get the message "D3D Reset FAiled - something is wrong with the directx setup", with the options abort/retry/ignor. clicking any of the options causes the game to close.

Direct x is up to date on my PC, no machine hardware or software changes within last 2 months. currently checking viruses/adware etc

Steps to Replicate:
playe game in window, not full screen. swithc to another window, switch back.

windowed mode only - I dont use small mode - just switching between the game and the forum seems to have done it

must be v-random, not doing it now.
checked direct x- up to date
no viruses/adware on machine.

just one of those occasional annoying pc niggles i suspect :)
