i got many questions...

1) say i want a place to gather recorces for nothing... a standard gather point... i knew how to do it once... but i forgot...
i got the building editor... but i dont see a gather point option in the things between invalid building type and housing block thing...

EDIT: found out the item sorce thing in something mit wrote... thanks mit

2) changing item names... i read in the forums how to do it... but one more thig i forgot...
if posabe a way to do it out of game?

3) anyone got any good ideas for my world? no ideas for it yet...

4) can someone remind me what my questions are?

can change the items names without going in-game by just typing the command into the server's chat counsle.

if the server isen't running, you could just edit the namesfile.txt in the servers data folder. however, you will need to know the item numbers to do this. they can be found at http://www.tuwr.net/pmwiki.php?n=Lists.Items
the list lists the default items and thier number. so it can be used as a refrence when changing stuff that isen't already changed and to see what something was before you changed it in case you want to change it again.

whats the command used?
i think it was *changeitemname itemname disireditemname
and will that show up on the building editor? as in i want a item called magical essence
(for a medeval world) and i want the item spawn thing to make magic... can you explain if it will work?

ohh what is a good free program to create building shapes and colors?

i belive command is *changeitemname Oldname,Newname

yes, it shows up in the buildings editor too.
