I had this brilliant idea: Since the ISLANDS program does not have any pre-set islands, I will make some basic island which I can export to people whcht they can tweak.
However I encountered a large snag: When I came to the Vehicles part of the game, I was not able to turn the V1 into the tractor model. Instead it says:
Model Locked
This model can only be used on registered islands
I think this is strange which is why I am reporting it. I know Mit hates the idea of tractors and has made the v1 a sphere by default, but seriously, this is either a mistake or rather stupid...
And no, I can't make the v1 another vehicle because:
1) I like it
2) The background behind my island is: You farmer, Bright lights of town attract you etc...
The Islands program and Tractors
thats odd. i've got the tractor used on all of my hosted islands with no troubles at all.
maybe delete the tractor.atm and redownload it off an island thats already useing it?
only thing i can think of. since, if you download the tractor off a nonregistered island, tit'll have to work with one. and non of the currently running islands are registered.

Those models are probably 'locked' because they were exported with an old version of the model converter (pre v0.1) that didnt properly support the feature, so zar's solution will probably do the trick. There may be some old atms still in the full install pack.. i'll fix those as a find em.
The idea behind locking a model is to allow some models to be used on one particular world/island only - either to make the item 'special' and allow nice rewards that ya can't jus get more easily by going to 'newbie island' or something, or as a way for modellers who have spent a lot of time on their models to keep them for their own private use, instead of automatically being spread publicly around the gameworlds..
