Ok after fumblin thru this thing i got kricket mode set up (my eye is twitchin now) i got a functional kricket course going... now i will share what ive found:
first of all, you better have a lane to start with, else ur totally lost. best thing to do
is go to Zion and go into kricket mode and take a look at that one... ull find this under
ur clients\data\textures\land\texmap\cricket1.jpg (i think i got all that in the right order... workin from memory here )
in ur server console, set this to one of ur land texmap slots (i used 3)
on ur world, go to where u want ur wicket to start, select the start line tool
and draw a couple boxes worth of line... not too much.. i used 4 and then shrunk
it down to 3, but i have rather large tiles, so im sure it will be diff depending on ur world size.
when you have ur area set, type .texmap 3 (or whatever slot u put it in.. (note.. the actual # u type in will be one number higher than the assigned slot number, because it starts with 0, slot 1 is 0, slot 2 is 1, etc..)
ur wicket should now be mapped out.
now bring back up the build menu, the line shoudl still be there,,, now, to define ur wicket area, type .wicket
next, you need to set your batter and bowler areas.. go to the end you want one to be,
and in the build menu , i selected start line and only had the square for the batter/bowler area highlited, ( not sure if this part is actually necessary. may just need to be standing in the proper tile).. type .bowler
and on the other side of the wicket, do the same except type .batsman
now, u got ur map defined, time for the fun stuff.
in *settings/subgames, select Ball Games... only a couple are documented, and i just
kept trying different ones until i found one that worked for me... i found that #4 was pretty easy to figure out. (maybe mit could clue us in on the new setting options for this area? =) )
option 4 changes ur vehicle to: Veh9 for batter and Veh10 for fielder when you enter the game.
one of the modes took me to my team 0 spawn zone when i entered the game.. maybe a special spawn zone # for kricket, or a .kricketspawnzone would be a better way to use this one?
the model used for the ball is weapon model 1 slot.
move on down towards the bottom of subgames, and you will find ball settings.. notice bounciness and drag, youll need to use them later. on down a bit more are bowl strenghts and angles ( note:angles arent actually an 'angle'. i found the angle settings i liked in the 600-1000 range.)
u can setup settings for 2 different bowls/swings.. tab for type 1 and shift+tab for type 2. play around with the numbers to get hit strength and bowl strength and all that u like.
not sure what kricket mode does.. i changed it and things didnt seem to work right.
height is how high the ball appears on the screen from when the bowl is made.. just set
to fit ur models height to make it look 'realistic-ish'
Ummm.. i guess thats about it. couple buggish points i ran across.... if ur in a vehicle
with a weapon, the weapon carries over to the player.
and i believe a non-player fielded the ball when we were playing around on zion.
o yea, might wanna get a person or 2 to play a game when u get that texmap mentioned
at the first... so u get the proper fielder and batter models =) of course, you can use whatever model u want it will still work all the same.
hope this helps! if you have any questions or need any help just ask im always up for some helpage.
o yea if u mess up ur wicket setting you can *Dellallmap 25 (del's wicket) *delallmap 26 (deletes the batter box or the bowler box) and *delallmap 27 (deletes whichever one 26 doesnt )

(Sorry for the bump)
If you set kricket mode setting to 1 it changes to the more advanced kricket interface (this might require v0.51.3 to use...I'm not sure)
The standard batter model is called batter.atm and the standard bowler/fielder model is druidfield3.atm, both use silvdruid.jpg as a texture (if you've played ultrakricket on zion these should all be in your Models/Vhcls Folder).
The standard ball uses cricball.jpg and cricball2.atm (see objct folder).
